The Cain Home 
Investigation: Cain Home Location: Madison Heights, Virginia Date Of Investigation: June 25, 2011 Investigators Present: Jim Tarazewich and Aubrey Cutchins Length Of Investigation: 9:00 p.m. to 3:15 a.m ( 6 hrs 15 min. ) Weather Conditions: Clear - Humid - Slight Breeze - Temp. 78 degrees ( F ) Moon Phase: 28% Full ( Waning Cresent ) Evidence: Personal Experiences - Orb Photos - Video - Evps Captured Conclusion: Very Active History This is a mobile home structure located in a mobile home park. The park itself has been around between 40 to 50 years. Claims Client states that activity is taking place on a nightstand located beside the bed in the master bedroom of the mobile home. He states that a picture keeps falling off the nightstand. A small fan that was sitting on the stand has been thrown to the floor. The nightstand itself has been overturned, and change left on the stand rattles during the night. The client's girlfriend reports having her pillow pulled out from under her head, and thrown to the floor, and a picture on the nightstand was thrown off onto the pillow laying in the floor. This activity started around a month before the investigation, and occurs between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. Investigation The investigation was started out by doing EMF readings around the mobile home to give the investigators a good base reading. The bathroom's light fixture showed a very high EMF reading of 17.9 marked at 9:15 p.m. ( Client may want to put in new fixture ). High Emf readings can cause certain conditions related to paranormal activity such as feeling uneasy, feeling watched, etc. High EMF readings were also found around the deer head located in the living room of the mobile home. These readings were strange in nature, and changed when checked two more times during the investigation. Readings noted were 0.4 to 1.4 when first checked and latter a reading of 0.1 to 0.3, which showed a tremendous drop in range to the first reading taken. A picture taken during the investigation showed a huge white orb located near the deer head mounted on the wall. That picture is located in photos under this investigation. Jim Tarazewich set a flashlight on the nightstand in the bedroom where all the activity has been happening, and asked for a spirit to turn it on to give him a sign of there presence. Nothing happened at that time, but 20 minutes later he went to that room to turn the light on to set up his camera to film the nightstand, and out of the corner of his eye he caught a flash. When he turned to look, he could see that the flashlight had come on by itself while sitting on the nightstand. The other investigator sitting in the living room witnessed this. The investigators tried to debunk the flashlight by jumping up and down, and different movements, but could not recreate it. Evp sessions were taken in the living room during the investigation. At one point Aubrey saw what appeared to be figure standing in the doorway of the bedroom. During that exact moment, the investigators captured an evp on there recorder answering there questions. ( Refer to the evp section, and listen to Bedroom Cain Home.wav ). Jim ask " Why are you here? ", and you hear a low voice saying Cain Family. You also hear Aubrey say " Whoa ", " I just saw a figure standing in that back room! ", and you can hear the spirit say " Cain Room ". Evp sessions were also done using a ghost box. This is a device used to pick up spirit voices responding to questions asked. It works like a radio that is scanning channels really fast, and then you hear voices. These voices are thought to be a response to particular question that was asked. We found some interesting responses to questions asked during the ghost box session, and they are listed below in the evp section. The camera that was set up looking at the nightstand in the bedroom captured three strange anomalies that look like orbs moving down from the bedpost out of view of camera eye twice, and one coming out of the door, and moving horizontally across the camera view. We have determined that these anomalies were not bugs, because no bug was ever seen flying around for 6 hours, and how could a bug come out of a door? The same camera later caught a knock sound coming from the bedroom after the investigators left the home to get something to eat. This knock sound could have been anything. It is interesting to say the least. These two videos are listed in the video section of this investigation. All in all the investigation turned out to be a good one with a lot of activity. We are going to present the evidence to the Cain family, and request a home blessing for them. The Client has stated that he wants the spirits gone as soon as possible. Photo

 Jim kept getting high EMF readings from this mounted deer head during the investigation. They would range from .4 to 2.2 in scale. At other times he would get no readings at all.
Evps
This evp was captured by Jim Tarazewich during a preliminary walk through with the client. It was captured in the bedroom where all the activity has been happening. At 18 seconds into the recording you will hear something say "OK ". Then you hear Jim say " Go ahead and do something, where here, you are not going to scare me out of here. You make yourself known.
This Evp was captured by Jim Tarazewich in the Cain family's Living Room. You will hear two spirits speaking in this evp. You will need to turn up the volume to hear the second spirit speaking. At 2 seconds we hear a spirit say " I'm cursed to have a family", and right after that you can hear a second spirit say " Cain ". This same spirit starts talking again at 11 seconds, about the same time Jim says Why are you here?, but his voice drowns out what the spirit is saying. The spirit replies at 16 seconds to Jim's response " Cain ", and 19 seconds "Family", meaning Cain family. Then you hear Aubrey say I just saw a figure standing in that back room, and you here the spirit reply at 25 seconds " Cain Room ".
This was a ghost box session where Jim ask " Are you male or female ", and you hear a voice say " First " ( Meaning male ), then you hear a strange sound right after.
This was a ghost box session where Jim ask " Are you female ", and you hear a response of " I'm Gay ".
This ghost box session Jim ask " And if so can you tell us your name", you hear many responses. The first on sounds like " Davy ", " Judy ", " Who Knows ", " Tommy ", then " Yea ".
This ghost box session Jim ask " Can you make a noise for us ", and you hear a response of " Funny ", then " Can You ".
This ghost box session Aubry ask " Do you want us here ", and you hear a response of " Yes ", and then " Wait ".
This ghost box session you hear Aubrey ask " Do you want us out of here ", then you hear a response of " Yes ". Then Jim ask " do you want us to leave ", then you hear a response of " No ".
This ghost box session Jim ask " Is there a message you would like to pass on ", you then get some voices but one profound voice saying " Yea ".
This ghost box session Jim ask " Are you stuck here ", then you hear responses of " Maybe ", " Truth ", " That's Right ", and " Sleep ".
Video
In this video you will see the camera filming into a bedroom where poltergeist activity has been happening around the night stand beside the bed. When the film begins, you will see a trail of light forming around the top of the bed post, and disappearing down toward the center of the picture. We looped a second time so you can see the form appear, and disappear again in the lower center of the picture. At 32 seconds into the video, you will see this form appear to left of the camera, and it looks to be coming out of the door itself. We have dismissed this as being a bug because no bugs where seen flying around during 6 hours of investigating. We will leave this evidence for you to draw your own conclusions.
In this video you will hear a knock sound that seems to be coming from the bedroom area. No one was in the home at this time. Both investigators went away from the residence to get something to eat.
Jeter's Chapel Cemetery 
Investigation: Jeter's Chapel Location: Vinton, Virginia Date of Investigation: September 10, 2011 Investigators Present: Jim Tarazewich - Diane Ruble - Evelyn Sawyer - Aubrey Cutchins Length of Investigation: 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. ( 4 hours ) Weather Conditions: Clear skies - Temperatures in the mid 60's - Slight breeze Moon Phase: 97% Full Evidence: Photos, Personal Experiences, Evps Conclusion: Not enough evidence to say haunted or not, but we can say there is some strange stuff going on. History After the Civil War, in 1865, brother B. F. Moomaw and some other Botetourt County Brethren heard a call from a small group of Bedford County Christians to come help them and a new meeting house was built on land donated by the Jeter family. It began as a union church with three other denominations using the meeting house for services on assigned weeks. The three denominations later moved to other locations leaving the Brethren with the Jeters Chapel meeting house. Jeters Chapel was officially organized in 1875 with twenty-five members in a log cabin which stood across the road from the current building. B. F Moomaw and Peter Nininger would serve as pastor and elder for ten years. In 1885, Samuel Crumpacker was called to pastor and rode horse back from Cloverdale to bring the Gospel to the people on the mountain. He served over thirty years before leaving due to his wife's declining health. In 1923, Sister Elizabeth Jennings accepted the call as pastor and would serve for fifteen years. Albert H. Showalter served for ten years and Elizabeth Jennings Broughman was called again in 1951 for eight more years. Among others; Ned Crumpacker, Glen Sage, Pete Bain, Earnest Muntzing, and Clyde Lehman have all served Jeters Chapel. Today, the church is served by a bi-vocational minister who serves part-time with boundless support from the many key lay-people that make us this congregation. Claims There have been reports of people seeing ghosts in Jeter's Chapel Cemetery. A white robe hovering over the middle of cemetery has also been reported. Investigation Investigators started investigation at Jeter's Chapel around 6:30 p.m. Saturday night September 10, 2011. The group divided into pairs, Jim with Diane and Aubrey with Evelyn. The graveyard was covered by both teams, as well as the surrounding wooded area, the Chapel, and the old foundation of the original Chapel located across from the cemetery. Jim and Diane investigated one grave in particular during the night, which was the marker of Emmitt Saunders. They had temperature changes occur using the Mel Meter, a special device that measures temperatures and will light up if an energy force is close to it. The force that activates the lights are said to be caused by spirits. The investigators noticed that the temperatures would raise when they moved back away from the grave, and drop when they moved back towards the grave. They sat the Mel Meter on Emmitt's marker and asked if he could make the temperature go down. At that request the temperature dropped from 64.4 to 63.7. When asked to make the temperature go back up it went to 64.8. These all happened on command. This event occurred at 7:30 p.m. Jim and Diane left the grave of Emmitt Saunders and started to explore
the woods outside the cemetery. Around 8:48 p.m. Jim and Diane both
heard what they describe a growling sound. They believed it to be of a
paranormal nature, and not a sound made by animals. Given the fact that
they are in the woods does not exclude that it could have been an
animal. This is where your degree of investigating the paranormal comes
in hand along with your senses to your surrounding environment. This
event occurred at 8:48 p.m. Aubrey and Evelyn decided to investigate the grave of Emmitt Saunders after hearing what Jim and Diane had experienced there. They decided to do a ghost box session. A ghost box is a device used by ghost hunters to solicit a response to a direct question. The ghost box is scanning in the f.m. frequency what we call the white noise range. The range where you pick up on these spirit voices. They were able to solicit a direct response to the questioned asked, " What is your name"? The response that came back through the ghost box was " Emmitt ". Aubrey is what we call a sensitive, a person that can hear, feel, and see spirits in most cases. Aubrey said he could feel the spirit trying to enter him. He stated that something hit him in the chest, and pains followed. This event occurred at 9:15 p.m. Personal experiences seemed to be the theme of the night, and some strange photos as well. Photos that we have no explanation for. These photos where captured in full spectrum, and infrared photography. Evps where also captured, but most of that evidence was contaminated with the sounds of crickets. One evp in particular was captured on the grave stone of Emmitt Saunders. You could hear a child's laugh along with a conversation going on. All the investigators were on the other side of the graveyard, but this does not exclude that the conversation was not the investigators themselves, but there is no explanation for the child's laugh. The jury is still out on this one being haunted or not. I can say that there is some strange stuff going on here.

Weather Conditions: Cold ( 47 to 25 ) F , Cloudy, Windy. Moon Phase: 30 % Full. Evidence: Evps, Photos, Video Conclusion: Haunted Claims No claims that we are aware of. Our Investigation We arrived at the investigation site at 4:05 p.m. and started setting our equipment up.The full spectrum camera was placed in the northeast corner of the area. I began doing emf sweeps inside the foundation. Readings ranged from 0.1 to a constant 0.9 in one area of the foundation. We had lots of personal experiences on this investigation. !.) I began to feel sick on my stomach. 2.) We could see sparks of light, and busts of flashes inside the foundation after it got dark. 3.) I could hear something walking very close to us and actually sounded like it was moving around us, by using the Parabolic dish. 4.) My digital camera got drained along with the full spectrum camera. I placed a new set of batteries in the digital recorder, and they almost got drained again. 5.) We could see what looked like shadow figures peering around trees at us. This was a great investigation. We concluded that the old foundation is haunted.
